Quit Discussing Poverty In Front Of Your Children — Remi Tinubu
Remi Tinubu, First lady of Nigeria |
Put an end to discussing poverty with your kids, Remi Tinubu, give them hope and a happy life
First lady of Nigeria, Remi Tinubu, has advised parents not to bring up the topic of ravaging poverty in front of their kids since it could have a negative impact on society.
“Whoever we are, we should stop talking about poverty in front of our children,” Mrs Tinubu said. “We are not a poor nation; the wealthy ones should also take care of the poor ones and make them wealthy; that is all it takes.”
During her Christmas speech on Saturday, Mrs. Tinubu addressed the kids of the Nana Berry Orphanage in Abuja at the State House. The former senator went on to exhort the populace to look forward to the new year and to work toward improving the nation.
“We have taken the issue of poverty out of context, and it is polluting the hearts of the young ones,” Mrs Tinubu said. “But we have to give them hope and a positive life. We are entering a glorious year, and those who believe it will be glorious will enjoy it.”
