NTA Wins The Right To Broadcast The 2024 AFCON Exclusively
This move will afford Nigerian fans with option to choose between national broadcaster NTA and DStv
The National Television Authority (NTA) has successfully secured the exclusive broadcasting rights for the highly anticipated 2024 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
The historic agreement ensures that NTA will broadcast the entire continental football extravaganza.
The news was unexpected given that Multichoice, the company behind DSTV and Super Sports, was unable to obtain the rights for the highly anticipated football extravaganza like they had in the past.
The TotalEnergies AFCON, commonly known as just AFCON or CAN, is widely acknowledged as Africa's top international men's association football competition.
The 2024 edition, set to kick off on Saturday, 13 January 2024, and culminate on Sunday, 11 February 2024, will take place in the vibrant football nation of Cote d'Ivoire.
NTA and Afro Sports have partnered, finalizing a transformative memorandum of understanding. This tactical alliance guarantees that NTA will air every one of the 52 thrilling AFCON tournament matches.
