Nigerian Intelligence Report Confirms Kidnappers New Attacks

Nigerian intelligence report confirms that the kidnappers were planning new attacks on communities in Abuja over a phone call

A phone conversation between kidnappers in Karu, close to Abuja, and Kabusa, in the Federal Capital Territory, was intercepted, according to an intelligence report from the Nigeria Police Force.

This report, “Plan by armed bandits to attack yet-to-be-identified location around the FCT, Abuja,” claims that January 17, 2024 was the planned date of the kidnapping.

The informant asked for more information when the alleged kidnapper in Karu asked about the house they intended to attack.

The abductor clarified that he had invited additional gang members to the planned operation on the designated date.

As a result of informants living in the communities, syndicates are invited to participate in an increasing trend of kidnappings in and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

It highlights how urgent action is required to stop the threat.

The armed bandits infiltrating the FCT, particularly in areas that have been attacked recently, should be brought to the attention of the FCT Police Command and other tactical teams, according to the intelligence unit's recommendation.

It also raises the possibility of working with the unit to analyze the suspected informant's phone number in order to make an arrest.
