A young man, who fatally shot eight people including a Nigerian, has died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound in Illinois, USA.

Romeo Nance, 23, shot nine victims in four different crime scenes, but only one of them lived. US Marshals discovered him dead on Monday, January 22, at approximately 8:30 p.m. in the vicinity of Natalia, TX.

This occurs just hours after the suspect shot seven people in two West Acres Road homes, killing them all. Two bodies were discovered in one house, according to Joliet police, and five more were discovered in another.

Police said Romeo was related to most of the victims, who have been identified as 38-year-old Christine Esters, 47-year-old Tameka Nance, 35-year-old William Esters II, 31-year-old Joshua Nance, 20-year-old Alexandria Nance, a 16-year-old girl and 14-year-old girl.

The night before, Will County Deputy Sheriff Dan Jungles said his deputies were called to a home at 5 Pheasant Run Lane, where they found a person with a gunshot wound to the head. After being brought to a nearby hospital, the victim, Toyosi Bakare, 28, passed away from his wounds. The Nigerian had spent the previous three years residing in Will County.

A man was injured in a separate shooting that involved the same vehicle, according to Will County officials, about ten minutes prior. The victim, 42, sustained injuries to his leg.

Romeo allegedly ended everything after a run-in with Texas law enforcement, according to Joliet police.
