CSP Dolapo Badmus Gets Promoted To Commissioner Of Police Cadre

Dolapo Badmos, a former zone 2 and Lagos state command police public relations officer, has been promoted to assistant commissioner of police.

The Police Service Commission, chaired by Dr. Solomon Arase CFR, released a statement today, January 24, 2024, signed by Ikechukwu Ani. The statement revealed that a total of 14 Commissioners of Police were promoted to Assistant Inspectors General of Police, 21 Deputy Commissioners to Commissioners, and 20 Assistant Commissioners to Deputy rank. Comparably, 109 Chief Superintendents of Police rose to the rank of Assistant Commissioners of Police.

Dolapo, who is currently serving as the CSP Administration at Provost Marshal, Force Headquarters Abuja, was recommended as one of the deserving officers to be promoted from Chief Superintendent rank to Assistant Commissioner. This recommendation came from the Inspector General of Police, Dr. Kayode Egbetokun Ph.D., who made the request to the Commission.

A brief visit to Opetodolapo's Instagram page verified her promotion, as the most recent post on the platform stated she was recently promoted. It said, “NEW LEVEL UPLOADED, A BIG CONGRATULATIONS Ο ΜE.”

The chairman of the commission, a retired IGP, gives the promoted officers orders to go forth and fight all forms of criminality in the nation with all of their newfound authority.
