Turkey has been included to the list of pilgrimage locations that the Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC) will offer in 2024.

This was said by the Commission's Executive Secretary, Reverend Yakubu Pam, during the Third Annual General Staff Retreat of the Commission with Partners from Turkey, which took place in Jos, the capital of the Plateau state.

Prime Business Africa claims that because of the continuous conflict between Israel and Hamas, the NCPC declared in October that all pilgrimages to Israel and Jordan would be suspended.

The journey was canceled because of the disagreement that erupted before the NCPC's scheduled flight of intending pilgrims to Amman, Jordan, where they were to stay for four days before continuing on to Israel.

“A team from the Commission visited Turkey this year and even last year to exploit a Christian holy site in the Middle-East country. Expectedly, the Concluded to include Turkey as one of the latest additions to our pilgrimage destinations,” Rev. Pam said.

Reverend Pam expressed gratitude to President Bola Tinubu for the commission's support, but he also promised that the commission, led by him, will have personnel welfare as its first concern.

This retreat is a part of the Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission's strategic goals for productivity and leadership change. The commission has already toured the Christian Holy Sites in Turkey.
