President Tinubu and his Vice, Shettima are to spend the sum of N5. 128 billion on foodstuff, miscellanious, honourarium
In 2024, President Tinubu and his Vice, Shettima, are scheduled to spend N5.128 billion on meals, miscellaneous, honoraria, refreshments, and repairs to fixed assets in addition to purchasing computer software.
According to the dissection of the figures, President Tinubu would spend N254 million on food, while his Vice, Shettima, would spend N348 million on supplies for catering and food. The State House headquarters has N430 million allocated for the same purpose in the 2024 budget cycle.
It is anticipated that President Tinubu will spend N219 million on miscellaneous expenses, while the Vice President will also spend N187 million during the same time frame.
The State House Headquarters would also spend $2,54 billion on miscellaneous throughout that time. A closer look at the number reveals that President Tinubu would be spending N152.4 million on honoraria and a sitting allowance, while the Vice President would be spending N67 million. The amount of N365.8 million is set aside for honoraria at the State House Headquarters.
The President has suggested spending N650 million on fixed asset rehabilitation and maintenance; the Vice President is anticipated to spend N103 million on computer software purchases. Similarly, the Villa Headquarters estimates that it will spend 980 million on computers and assent repairs.
In the meantime, the State House's internet access costs are allocated N50 million and the electricity bill N260.8 million by the Federal Government. N372 million was set aside for utilities, including internet and energy costs, according to the budget. Additional costs associated with utilities include N4.4 million for phone bills, N30 million for water rates, and N26 million for sewerage costs.
Also, N217 million for gasoline and lubricants at the State House was included in the 2024 budget. According to details, N148 million is set aside for fuel for motor vehicles, N37 million for fuel for plants and generators, and N31 million for cooking gas.
