2024 Budget: Tinubu, Shettima And Aides To Spend N15.9 Billion On Travel
Vice President Shettima, President Tinubu, and their advisors are only expected to spend N15.96 billion on travel in the 2024 budget
Travel expenses, both domestic and foreign, will total N15.961 billion in 2024 for President Bola Tinubu, Vice President Kashim Shettima, and their staff in the Presidential Villa.
The 2024 Appropriations Bill, which is presently being reviewed by the National Assembly, includes the figure. Upon dissecting the data, it was evident that President Tinubu intended to expend N7. 630 billion on travel expenses, primarily on overseas travel.
The proposed budget states that he will spend N1.229 billion on international travel and N638.199 million on domestic travel.
For local and foreign travel, Villa Headquarters received an additional N6.484 billion. N 6.282 billion was allocated for overseas travel, N60. 981 million for training-related local travel, and N140.640 million for local travel. In the federal budget for 2024, the Villa Headquarters received N40.616 billion, with N12497 billion designated for capital, N10.334 billion for overhead, and N163 billion for personnel.
