Three male students from Tansi International College, Okpuno, Awka South LGA, Anambra State, lost their lives while playing football in a thunderstorm with lightning

Nine teenagers were involved in the Saturday incident, which happened as they were getting ready for a football game.

Three did not survive, but six were brought back to life at the school clinic.

Witnesses stated that although the instructor had called a practice to a close, several students were still playing when lightning struck.

After the youngsters were taken to a hospital in Awka, three of them were declared dead.

Two victims' parents have taken their bodies, while one victim is still in the mortuary.

There is no report on the incident that the police have received.
