Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) pastor, Prince Eberechukwu Oji has emerged as the new Eze-designate of Aro

Prince Eberechukwu Oji, a minister of the Redeem Church of God (RCCG), has become the Eze Aro of the Arochukwu ancient kingdom.

Because of the stool's importance to the Aro kingdom and its historical relevance to the Igbo people, Eze Aro is one of the most venerated traditional stools in Igbo nation.

The genealogy that yields the Eze Arochukwu royal family includes Pastor Oji, the Eze Aro nominee.

He is a well-known businessman in the nation's oil and gas industry as well.

According to information gathered, Pastor Oji was chosen to be the next Eze Aro after a rigorous evaluation by the Okennachi kindred and a screening committee determined he was the most qualified candidate for the role, which has been vacant since the passing of his uncle and the previous Eze Aro, Mazi Vincent Ogbonnaya Okoro, CFR, in 2021, following a 25-year reign.

According to reports, the late Eze Aro acquired his medical laboratory science training in the United Kingdom before taking the throne. He later led the Department of Laboratory Technology at the University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital in Enugu as its first head, retiring in 1988 as the UNN's Chief Medical Laboratory Scientist to fulfill a call to serve his community.

It was learned that the royal family had been looking for and screening royal family members since the death of the previous Eze Aro in 2021. Eventually, they decided on Pastor Oji and his cousin, Mazi Godwin Kanu Idei.

Pastor Oji was reportedly chosen by the screening committee following a drawn-out and difficult procedure.

The village, which has been without a monarch, has scheduled the public presentation and coronation of the 50-year-old Eze Aro nominee for December 26.

He vowed to rule the Arochukwu people with reverence for the Arochukwu Ancient Kingdom's traditions and customs and with fear of God in an intimate conversation with Pastor Oji. He also made the solid assurance that he would be king for all of the Arochukwu sons and daughters worldwide.
