FCT High Court Granted Bail To Former CBN Governor Mr. Godwin Emefiele

The Federal Capital Territory High Court has granted Godwin Emefiele, a former Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) governor, bail

A Federal Capital Territory (FCT) High Court in Maitama has granted bail to former Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Governor Godwin Emefiele for N300 million

The FCT High Court's Justice Hamza Muazu granted former CBN Governor Godwin Emefiele bail in the amount of three hundred million naira with two sureties in the same amount.

In a verdict issued on Wednesday, Justice Hamza Muazu ruled that Emefiele must present two sureties, both of whom must own land in the Maitama District of the FCT.

Emefiele was absent from today's proceedings.

The court postponed the start of the trial until November 28.
