Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, Chairman/CEO of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), has advised Nigerians who are traveling overseas to do so legally and with the required paperwork in order to avoid unfavorable outcomes.
In a statement released by the agency’s Director of Media, Public Relations, and Protocols Unit, Abdur-Rahman Balogun, said that Dabiri-Erewa made this claim while she was visiting some Nigerians in a Brampton, Canada shelter.
She expressed sympathy for their predicament and advised anyone considering traveling without the required paperwork to reconsider since times are becoming more difficult in many nations and “it is just not worth it, more often than not.”
