UCL: Man Utd Finished Last In UEGA Group A After An Unexpected Loss To Galatasaray
As a result of Tuesday night's 3-2 Champions League group stage loss to Galatasaray, Manchester United has dropped to the bottom of Group A.
After losing to Crystal Palace last weekend and suffering their fourth Premier League setback, Erik ten Hag's team needed to win.
The hosts took the lead in the 17th minute when Rasmus Hojlund headed in a cross from Marcus Rashford.
Their advantage only lasted for fewer than six minutes when Wilfried Zaha matched his former team.
Hojlund scored in the 67th minute, to give United the lead again, but four minutes later, Kerem Akturkoglu equalized the score.
Following Casemiro's penalty kick miss, Mauro Icardi had a chance to score the game-winning goal, but he missed.
Galatasaray moves up to second place in the group with four points as a result, leaving United with no points.
Following a 2-1 victory at FC Copenhagen, which has one point and is in third place, Bayern Munich is first with six points from two games.
