Bedbug Epidemic Causes Fear In Paris, France
Bedbugs have invaded homes and public spaces throughout France, notably in the nation's capital, Paris, where they are spreading like wildfire.
Pests are spreading throughout the European nation and infesting homes, public transportation, and other public areas. In Paris, bedbugs have been found on buses, high-speed trains, theaters, hospitals, and at Charles de Gaulle Airport.
This will happen only eight months before the 2024 Summer Olympics, which are scheduled to take place in Paris.
As France gears forward to host the Olympic and Paralympic games in 2024, the deputy mayor of the nation's capital, Emmanuel Gregoire, reportedly wrote to Prime Minister Elisabeth Borne this week, "The state urgently needs to put an action plan in place against this scourge."
The report also stated that the problem will be discussed with transport providers next week, as stated over the weekend by Transport Minister Clement Beaune.
