'There Is No Money Anywhere, We Are Managing To Pay Salaries' - FG
The Federal Government has stated that despite a growing population, it is dealing with huge challenges and a revenue shortfall.
On Thursday, October 19, Atiku Bagudu, the minister of budget and national planning, claimed that there is no money in the nation and that the government is hardly able to pay its employees' salaries.
The minister urged non-governmental organizations (NGOs) to assist the government in filling in the gaps that it was unable to.
"Government faces enormous challenges especially now, the government is facing a revenue deficit. There is no money anywhere in the country; the government is just managing to pay salaries.
The growth rate is very slow and the population growth is fast pacing and increasing. Unemployment is surging in the midst of high inflation," he said.
