At the Council Chamber of the State House in Abuja on Wednesday, the President declared his support at the Launch of the Emblem Appeal for the 2024 Armed Forces Remembrance Day.

"I have approved the sum of N18bn for the payment of the Group Life Assurance benefits and other entitlements to the families of service members who lost their lives in line of duty." Tinubu said.

He continued by saying that this was done to show the government's gratitude for the sacrifices made by the men and women in the armed services and to emphasize its commitment to their welfare.

By realigning the institutions for improved service, he reaffirmed the administration's commitment to supporting the armed forces.

According to him, "We owe a debt of gratitude to our gallant troops, who have risen to the challenge of securing this great nation.
