Nnamdi Azikwe Stadium Renovation Work Is Scheduled To Resume
The executive governor of Enugu state, H.E. Dr. Peter Mbah, promised to the people of Enugu state that the renovation work at the Nnamdi Azikiwe stadium, Enugu, would be finished by November, and as of now, materials have begun to arrive for work to resume.
A crucial event happened on Tuesday when a 40-foot container with remodeling supplies arrived at the stadium. The site was attended by prominent individuals, including Ugwu Francis, Secretary of the Enugu State Football Association, Barrister Lloyd Ekweremadu, Commissioner for Youth & Sports in Enugu State, Barrister Amobi Ezeaku, General Manager/CEO of Rangers, and other significant sports stakeholders. Their participation underscores the importance of this undertaking, which started more than two years ago.
All parties involved and government officials were assured by a representative of the renovation company that additional materials are on their way to the site. They reiterated their commitment to fulfilling the stated November target by highlighting the fact that all necessary resources will be accessible within the upcoming week.
Barrister Amobi Ezeaku, general manager of the Flying Antelopes, expressed excitement over the remodeling project's completion, which began more than two years ago.
The construction company in charge of the project provided assurance that the renovation work would be finished by the scheduled date in November.
The Awka City Stadium in Anambra is the current home stadium for Rangers.
The supporters of Rangers International F.C., who are eager to watch games during the 2023/2024 NPFL season, which has already seen three match days, are given new hope by this encouraging development.
