Israeli-Palestinian War: Shiites Reportedly Stage Another Protest In Abuja

Over the years, the Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN) has pleaded with Nigerians to stand with the "oppressed" Palestinians in opposition to Israel's brutal attacks on civilians, particularly women and children.

In the midst of the heated battle between Israel and Palestinian militant Hamas, members of the organization also demonstrated on Friday against the continuous attacks on women and children in Gaza.

According to reports, the protest began at the well-known Annur Mosque in Wuse 2 along IBB route immediately following the Juma'at Prayer and ended with the burning of the American and Israeli flags at the traffic light at Ahmadu Bello route.

Earlier in the week, it was reported that the Shiites conducted their first protest, waving Israeli flags and denouncing continuous bombardments. Sheikh Sidi Munir Sokoto, a movement member, claimed in a statement that they were protesting in order to condemn the killing of Palestinians in Gaza by forces of the unlawful state of Israel.

The statement claimed that credible evidence showed that hundreds of Palestinians had been killed and thousands had been wounded.The UN Commission of Inquiry (COD) released a devastating accusation against the illegitimate state of Israel in February 2014.

The COI claims that Israeli soldiers have killed and maimed several unarmed civilians in Gaza, including children, journalists, and medical personnel.The Palestinians are fighting to free their homes from 75 years of Israeli oppression and tyranny while Israel is breaking international law.

The Israel military and settlers are the tErrorists as they have been #ling and abdicting Palestinian females and Children for many years, not the Palestinian freedom fighters who are demanding the right to return for those unjustly driven out of their homeland by the illegal state of Israel. Armed struggle is legitimate under international law.

"Gaza has been under the Israel siege since June 2007, which caused a decline in living standards." It added, "Supporting the oppressed people is human, as such, supporting the People of Palestineis a duty upon all humans. Israeli soldiers should stop launching Missiles and Rockets against innocent females and children in villages; they should face the Hamas fighters who are faghting to defend their People. Islam taught us that human beings are either our brothers in religion or in humanity.

"Calling people to support justice everywhere and opposing tranny and oppression everywhere is part of the teachings of our leader Shaikh Ibraheem El-Zakzaky (H). For more than three decades, the Islamic movement under the leadership of his eminence, Shaikh Ibraheem Zakzaky (H) has been organising programmes and protests in support of the oppressed people of Palestine.

"We are urging all in Nigeria to break the deafening silence and raise voices to support the oppressed Palestinians. While condemning the attack on Palestinians, we strongly support the Palestine resistance movement. Pray for Palestine, there are both Christians and Muslims in Gaza."
