A Federal Capital Territory Chief District Court in Wuse Zone 2, Abuja, has prohibited on-air personality Kayode Oladotun, or Do2dtun, from making disparaging comments about musician Oladapo Oyebanjo, aka D'banj, on social media or any other platform.

On Wednesday, October 18, 2023, in the case with Motion No. MN/218/2023, the Judge, His Honor, Emmanuel Iyanna, issued the injunction.

D'banj requested an injunction from the court to stop Do2dtun from publishing harmful and defamatory posts about him on social media through one of his attorneys, Toheeb Lawal of the Abuja-based law company, Law Corridor.

Iyanna granted the application, in which Do2dtun is the respondent and D'banj is the complainant, "an order restraining the defendant (Do2dtun) either by himself, servants, privies, cohorts, representatives, or any person deriving authority from him from further making any malicious, intimidating or defamatory post directing at the complainant (D'banj) on any social media platform (X, Instagram, etc) or news media pending the hearing and determination of the substantive case."

Additionally, the court mandated that the Force Intelligence Bureau's Deputy Inspector of Police look into a criminal complaint filed by D'banj against Do2dtun within two weeks and submit a report to the court.

Do2dtun had been bashing D'banj on social media for several weeks. In 2013, the OAP wed Taiwo, D'banj's sister, and the couple welcomed two daughters.

However, in November, 2021, Taiwo instituted a divorce proceeding before Justice A.I Akobi of Court 23, High Court of the Federal Capital Territory, in Suit Number: GWD/PET/25/2021, over alleged "unending reckless emotional abuse, forced abortion and vicious domestic violence," by Do2dtun, which she claimed has adversely affected her health and general well-being.

Recently, Do2dtun claimed that he was forbidden from seeing his daughter, but Taiwo refuted that assertion.

She claimed that the entertainer has access to their children, in contrast to the claims made by her ex-husband regarding custody of their children.

Taiwo described the domestic violence and emotional abuse she experienced during her marriage, as well as how Do2dtun took her to a hospital to undergo a forced abortion of a five-month pregnancy.
