Britney Spears, 41-year-old singer, says, "Justin Timberlake didn't want the baby, so I was forced to have an abortion for him"

According to American singer Britney Spears, her former lover Justin Timberlake didn't want the child, therefore she was forced to undergo an abortion.

The couple started dating in 1999. Their relationship was publicly dissolved three years later, in 2002.

The 41-year-old mother of two reveals in her upcoming memoir, "The Woman in Me," "At one point when we were dating, I became pregnant with Justin's baby.

"It was unexpected, yet it wasn't a tragedy in my eyes. I was smitten with Justin. I've always thought we'd start a family someday. Simply put, this would happen far sooner than I had imagined.

"But Justin definitely wasn't happy about the pregnancy. He said we weren't ready to have a baby in our lives, that we were way too young.

'If it had been left up to me alone, I never would have done it and yet Justin was so sure that he didn't want to be a father. To this day, it's one of the most agonizing things I have ever experienced in my life."
