SERIE A: Napoli President Is Being Investigated For Incorrect Accounting In The Osimhen Deal

According to numerous Italian reports, Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis is being investigated for incorrect accounting in the transfer of Victor Osimhen to the Serie A champions in 2020.

Osimhen relocated three years ago from Ligue 1 team Lille to Estadio Diego Armando Maradona for €71.2 million.

In exchange for four players that transferred to Lille as part of the transaction, about €20.1 million of the transfer price was given.

The players' salaries may have been inflated in order to boost capital gains.

Documents pertaining to the transaction have already been obtained by Guardia Di Finanza, Italy's financial police.

You might remember that in April 2022, Napoli was exonerated in a sporting case involving overstated capital profits.
