The welfare of soldiers and their families, according to Mr. Lagbaja, is of utmost significance. He promised to consolidate all current welfare programs in order to improve the welfare of soldiers and their families and keep them focused on their jobs.

"We shall also ensure that our injured warriors get the best medical care and continue to support the widows and next-of-kin of our fallen heroes."
Mr. Lagbaja expressed his gratitude to President Tinubu for ordering the immediate settlement of all outstanding insurance claims owed to the families as well as for his strategic leadership of the Armed Forces.
"On behalf of the officers and soldiers of the Nigerian Army, I want to reiterate our unalloyed loyalty and pledge our total commitment to the defence of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria," he said.
