'Nigeria Needs A Staggering N21 Trillion To Construct 28 Million Homes' - VP Shettima
Vice President Kashim Shettima estimates that Nigeria needs a staggering N21 trillion to construct 28 million homes
Despite efforts across the three levels of government, Vice President Kashim Shettima claims Nigeria needs N21 trillion to build 28 million homes in order to close the housing shortage in the nation.
At the Sokoto government's groundbreaking on Sunday for the development of a 500-unit housing estate, the vice president made this statement. Mr. Shettima stated that the housing shortage in Nigeria remained a major concern and praised Governor Ahmed Aliyu for his efforts to address the needs of his people in terms of housing.
"Nigeria needs N21 trillion to address its housing demands despite a 28 million-house shortage. The governor's action is exceedingly praiseworthy and should be imitated by other state governments. By finishing the highways and flyovers he inherited, the governor got off to a good start," according to Mr. Shettima.
