Federal Government Supporting Nigeria's AFCON 2027 Ambition
The Nigerian Federal Government has endorsed the nation's ambition to host the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations.
A joint bid for hosting the biannual competition has been made by Nigeria and its neighbor, the Benin Republic.
In order to further cement its campaign to host the event, Nigeria's Minister of Sports Development, John Enoh, along with top officials from the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), will be in Cairo, Egypt for the Confederation of African Football Executive Committee meeting.
Nigeria will present their case to the CAF Executive Committee during the meeting.
The gathering will take place on Wednesday September 27, 2023.
