The newly-installed Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, is likely to get into "serious political trouble" with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, according to sociopolitical analyst Shehu Sani on Tuesday.

He claimed that while Wike is capable of performing his duties, there is a chance that he may upset the president "by his utterances or actions."

The former senator for Kaduna Central advised Wike to "walk in a minefield or be blown by it."

On his Twitter handle, Sani wrote, "The capacity and competence of the new FCT minister to deliver is without doubt. The possibility of getting himself and the President into serious political trouble by his utterances or actions is also without doubt. He will have to learn to walk in a minefield or be blown by it."

Recalls that Wike promised to "step on toes" by tearing down all unlawful constructions in the FCT, regardless of how well-positioned their owners are, when he took office as FCT Minister on Monday.

In Abuja, he also committed to end open grazing.
