Verona of Serie A is interested in taking midfielder Joe Aribo on loan from Southampton.

Verona is interested in signing the Nigerian international on a season-long loan with a buy option, according to Sky Sports.

Since arriving to Southampton last summer, Aribo has had difficulty getting regular playing time.

Only two substitute appearances have the 27-year-old made for the Saints this year.

The skilled midfielder's old club, Glasgow Rangers, had been mentioned in trade rumors in the past.

He still has three years left on his Southampton contract.
