Ugbade Can't Fault The Players Despite The Team's Loss To Burkina Faso

Nduka Ugbade, the head coach of the Golden Eaglets, claims that his team gave everything they had during Thursday's loss to Burkina Faso.

After losing against the Young Stallions 2-1, the Nigerian boys were eliminated from the tournament.

Following the loss, the Eaglets were also unable to qualify for the World Cup.

The game was firmly began by Ugbade's boys, who twice hit the woodwork, but they quickly lost steam, allowing the Burkinabes to take complete control.

The former defender made a suggestion that his team members are saddened by their unexpected elimination from the competition.

"The players are disappointed of course because they are young but we must support them because they need to continue their careers," Ugbade said in his post-match press conference.

"We should work on their development because I believe that some of these players will eventually move to the senior national team," the tactician said after the defeat to Burkina Faso.
