TREASURERS BEMOAN THE LACK OF FOREIGN CURRENCY IN NIGERIA AND CALL ON THE FG TO STEP IN

The lack of foreign currency in the nation has been bemoaned by the Nigeria Association of Corporate Treasurers.

Nigeria's many forex windows and the lack of foreign currency have been major problems.

In order to do this, the group has urged the Federal Government to address the country's severe foreign exchange shortage.

Yinka Ogunnubi, the association's president, revealed this recently during his swearing-in as the new leader of ACTN.

Ogunnubi highlighted that the lack of foreign exchange has been a major source of difficulty for the group.

Ogunnubi said, "For our members and, of course, you know we are a treasurer organisation, most of our challenges have to do with the forex."

As of Saturday, the official dollar rate to Naira is N461.5, while it is N738 in the black market.
