Sen. Bola Tinubu, the president-elect, and Kashim Shettima, the vice president-elect, are up for disqualification in a petition brought by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and the Supreme Court has postponed ruling until May 26.

The PDP had pleaded with the Supreme Court to overturn the Court of Appeal's ruling, which found that the party had failed to prove its locus standi and was therefore not entitled to review.
