Makinde Dismisses Political Office Holders And Dissolves The Cabinet

The state executive council has been disbanded by Oyo State Governor Engr Seyi Makinde in advance of his May 29 inauguration for a second term in office.

This was written in a memo dated May 23, 2023, and it was signed by Otunba Segun Ogunwuyi, the Governor's Chief of Staff and Chairman of the Transition and Inauguration Committee.

A political office holder's appointment was also terminated by the governor, who also requested that they turn over any government property they were holding to the senior civil servant in charge of that ministry, department, or agency.
