JUST IN: THERE IS PANIC AS A PLANE CRASHES AFTER A TIRE BURSTS INTO FLAMES AT ABUJA AIRPORT
On Sunday, May 7, a Max Air plane reportedly made a crash landing at Abuja's Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport.
According to reports, the plane's tire caught fire as it was coming in from Yola, Adamawa state.
While the occupants were safely ejected from the aircraft, the Aerodrome Rescue and Fire-fighting Service (ARFFS) at the airport is said to have extinguished the fire.
The runway has been temporarily closed while the aircraft is being evacuated.
After takeoff at Yola Airport, according to Mike Ogirima, a former president of the Nigeria Medical Association (NMA) who was present at the occurrence.
