Dave Umahi and Ali Ndume resign in favor of Akpabio, who is supported by other APC senators-to-be
Umahi said, "Akpabio came on consultation with me but yesterday, I saw the President-elect, Bola Tinubu on his invitation and he told me that he's already committed.
He said, Please don't run and I accepted to step down for Senator Akpabio for Senate President and Senator Barau for Deputy Senate President.
Meanwhile, Senator Ali Ndume has also stepped down for Godswill Akpabio.
Ndume said he's leading the campaign for Akpabio because he's the President-elect, Bola Tinubu's candidate and we have to put the interest of the country and the party above any other interest.
