Iyanya Onoyom Mbuk, popularly known as Iyanya, a popular artist, has disclosed why he went on a date with the lady he met during Davido's "Timeless" show.

 Remember that despite threats from the lady's purported boyfriend, Iyanya went on a date with her.

Iyanya said on Twitter on Tuesday that he just accompanied the lady, identified as Florence, on a date to assist her overcome her despair.

He stated that after watching her gesture at him during his performance at Davido's concert, he proclaimed on social media that he wanted to meet her and challenged his crew with finding her.

The Kukere crooner stated that when she contacted him, his staff discovered during their talk that she was depressed and only came to Davido's concert to make herself happy.

He stated that his team made plans to bring her to Lagos to help her overcome her depression.

"To assist Florence in becoming an influencer, I got her a brand new iPhone to make this easier and create good content.

"Watch out for Florence, she's going to do great things."

He went on to say that he only met Florence for the first time on the boat, and that his staff dropped her off at her hotel, emphasizing that he didn't bring her to Lagos for "any other agenda but to make sure she was happy after all she's been through."
