Rivers Gubernatorial: "I'll Fight Until I Get Justice" - Tonye Cole On The Retraction Of The Election Petition
Tonye Cole, an All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for governor in Rivers State, has declared his commitment to continuing his lawsuit against the results of the 2023 governorship election.
Cole declared that he would keep working on his petition until he received justice.
He was responding to rumors that the APC had withdrawn from the case that had been filed to unseat the state's newly elected governor, Similiayi Fubara.
Tweeting, Cole wrote: "I want to formally denounce the false rumours surrounding our petition against the results of the Rivers State governorship election.
"I assure you that our petition stands strong and unwavering, and we will not be swayed in our pursuit of justice.
"Despite attempts to undermine our efforts, I want to emphasise that we are tirelessly working to ensure our voices are heard.
"We remain undeterred and resolute in our fight for what is right until justice is served."
