EPL: XHAKA WARNS ARSENAL ABOUT THEIR NEXT OPPONENTS
Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka has issued a warning to his team ahead of their trip to Newcastle United on Sunday.
Arsenal defeated struggling Chelsea 3-1 at the Emirates on Wednesday, with the Blues managing to put one past the Gunners after Martin Odegaard and Gabriel's three goals had put Mikel Arteta's team comfortably ahead in the first half.
With a 3-1 victory, Arsenal returned to winning ways and reclaimed first place in the Premier League table.
They will now have a considerably tougher task in their next game against Newcastle. In the opposite fixture at the Emirates, the Magpies, who are third in the table, held Arsenal to a draw.
More importantly, Newcastle defeated Arsenal last season, preventing them from qualifying for the Champions League.
After the game, Xhaka went on an angry diatribe against Arsenal players, accusing them of not listening to the manager and being unable to handle pressure.
Xhaka told Sky Sports after their win over Frank Lampard's team on Tuesday.
"I have to be honest, they destroyed us. They were much, much better, they wanted it more.
"We have to go there and show them we are ready and why we are where we are."
