EPL: The Two Top Recruits For Chelsea According To Pochettino
Mauricio Pochettino, who will take over as Chelsea's manager when the current season ends, will give priority to two positions in the summer transfer market.
A new goalkeeper and a new No. 9 are the new manager's top recruitment priorities, according to football analyst and transfer specialist Alex Crook.
As soon as all arrangements are made, the former manager of Tottenham will be introduced as the next manager of Stamford Bridge.
After Graham Potter was fired a few weeks ago, the former PSG manager signed a three-year contract and would succeed him permanently.
"He wants a new goalkeeper, with doubts over the quality of both Edouard Mendy and Kepa Arrizabalaga - Inter Milan's Andre Onana is already being lined up to come in and take that No.1 jersey.
"Pochettino also knows Chelsea are in desperate need of a goalscoring No.9 and he's an admirer of the Inter Milan and Argentina striker Lautaro Martinez.
"Napoli's Victor Osimhen is another potential target."
