EPL: Nigerian Striker Is Still A Target For Chelsea, According To Pochettino
According to Sky Sports Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg, Chelsea are still trying to recruit Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, who would cost their incoming new manager Mauricio Pochettino "at least" €150 million.
Since Todd Boehly joined Chelsea as a co-owner last summer, the club has spent more than £600 million, and it looks like they will keep blowing cash.
The Blues are in serious need of a new striker after a disastrous 2022–2023 season that saw them finish in the bottom half of the Premier League table.
Osimhen, who recently assisted Napoli in winning the Serie A championship, has been linked with moves to Chelsea and Manchester United.
Over the course of 37 games for Napoli this season, Osimhen has scored 28 goals.
Osimhen, despite his high asking price, is at the top of Chelsea's list of potential new strikers, and the west London club is still seeking to sign him.
