EPL: LAMPARD SPARKED OUR VICTORY ACCORDING TO CONOR GALLAGHER

Before Saturday's Premier League match against Bournemouth, Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher revealed a surprise message from team manager Frank Lampard.

Before the encounter against Bournemouth, Chelsea had lost six straight games under Frank Lampard, a losing streak of six games overall.

It did result in a breath of new air for the west London powerhouse as they went on to win 3-1 away at the Vitality Stadium.

In the first half, Gallagher gave the visiting team the lead before Benoit Badiashile and Joao Felix gave them the victory.

Additionally, Gallagher disclosed during the game that temporary head coach Lampard had instructed his squad to be decisive in front of goal.

"The main message from the boss was that we needed to be more clinical and more ruthless in the final third," he told the BBC.

"So to get three goals today was great and shows that the stuff we're been working on has worked."
