EPL: Lampard Brings A Chelsea Under-14 Player Into The Starting Lineup
Charlie Holland, the captain of Chelsea's Under-14 team, was given a promotion on Thursday by interim manager Frank Lampard to first-team training.
Prior to their Premier League match against Nottingham Forest on Saturday, Holland trained with the first-team group on Thursday.
In preparation for their match against Nottingham Forest, Lampard's team hopes to capitalize on their 3-1 victory over Bournemouth from the previous weekend.
The beginning of Chelsea's practice was seen on camera by Sky Sports, where Holland could be seen jogging alongside Conor Gallagher, Thiago Silva, Mateo Kovacic, and first-team fitness coach Matt Birnie.
Holland led Chelsea's Under-14 team to a 5-0 victory over Fulham in the Albert Phelan Cup South championship earlier this month.
And it seems Holland has been rewarded with the opportunity to train with Chelsea's senior players prior to the match against Nottingham Forest.
