EPL: BOEHLY IS EAGER TO SIGN MAN UTD TARGET FOLLOWING POCHETTINO'S BACKING

After receiving Mauricio Pochettino's enthusiastic backing, Todd Boehly's Chelsea is allegedly eager to join Manchester United in the hunt to capture Inter Milan forward Lautaro Martinez.

Pochettino is almost certain to be chosen Chelsea's new long-term manager.

Martinez, a fellow countryman, is regarded by Pochettino as one of the top strikers in the world of football, according to The Football Insider.

In 48 games this season across all competitions for Inter, Martinez has tallied 23 goals and nine assists.

The 25-year-old, who is regarded as one of Europe's top forwards, was a member of the Argentina team that defeated Qatar to claim the 2022 FIFA World Cup in December.

Martinez is open to proposals from Inter Milan, which could sell him for £70 million this summer in order to raise money.
