A 17-YEAR-OLD AMERICAN PUTS AN END TO IT ALL AFTER BEING EXTORTED BY THREE NIGERIANS

Three Nigerian males from Lagos have been prosecuted in the death of Jordan De May, a 17-year-old teenager from Michigan, USA, who committed suicide after being blackmailed with a naked picture.

Samuel Ogoshi, 22, Samson Ogochi, 20, and Ezekiel Ejehem Robert, 19, have been named as the men awaiting extradition to the United States.

On Wednesday, May 3, 2023, U.S. Attorney Mark Totten announced the unsealing of a federal indictment accusing the three Nigerians with sexually extorting several young men and teenage boys in the Western District of Michigan and across the United States.

"On March 25, 2022, 17-year-old De May was found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. His death prompted an investigation by the Marquette County Sheriff's Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation, which culminated in the indictment unsealed today.

"Sextortion is a horrible crime that can leave especially younger victims feeling ashamed with nowhere to turn.

"My heart goes out to the family of Jordan De May. Nothing can bring Jordan back, but my office is committed to securing justice and, alongside Jordan's family, sending an urgent warning so others can protect themselves and their families. We will travel the world to hold the perpetrators of these crimes accountable," Totten said.

The three defendants are accused of purchasing hacked social media accounts and posing as girls while chatting with boys. The talks were sexual in nature and were intended to entice the adolescent males into sharing images of themselves. According to officials.

Once, the men began conversing with a young youngster. They'd look into his school, hometown, and family members. They would request sexually explicit photographs and then combine them with non-sexual images from social media to create collages.
