EPL: WHAT ARSENAL MUST DO TO WIN THE PREMIER LEAGUE FOLLOWING A 3-3 DRAW WITH SOUTHAMPTON - CARRAGHER

Former Liverpool captain Jamie Carragher believes Arsenal must win all three points against Manchester City on Wednesday in order to win the Premier League title.

The Gunners' title hopes were dashed after a 3-3 draw with Southampton on Friday night.

The league leaders were defeated by the Saints, who scored twice through Carlos Alcaraz and Theo Walcott.

Gabriel Martinelli, on the other hand, drew one back for Arteta's men.

Southampton's advantage was subsequently extended by Duje Caleta-Car's corner kick, before goals from Martin Odegaard and Bukayo Saka gave Arsenal a point.

In an interview with Sky Sports, Carragher stated: "You can feel the disappointment. It was such a great game for the neutrals but for both teams, it will be disappointing.

"Arsenal have to go to City and get three points to win the league now I think.

"It is still in Arsenal's hands and that shows how far ahead they were. They are going to have to do something miraculous now. It is going to have to be really special."

The result puts the league leaders five points ahead of Manchester City, who they meet next Wednesday at the Etihad.
