TUCHEL EXPLAINS WHY BAYERN LOST 3-0 AGAINST MANCHESTER CITY IN THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE

Bayern Munich manager Thomas Tuchel has revealed why his team lost 3-0 to Manchester City in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-finals.

Rodri's magnificent long-range shot gave City the lead in the first half.

After the break, Bernardo Silva and Erling Haaland scored to give City a comfortable advantage heading into the return leg.

Tuchel, speaking to Prime Video, said: "I think we deserved at least one goal and gave away one or two too many. I think our players were lacking a bit in confidence and form.

"Of course, the result is bitter for us. I fell in love with my team a little today, the way they performed. Even if it sounds strange, that was a lot of fun."
