TROOPS KILL SEVEN BANDITS IN ZAMFARA
Operation Hadarin Daji troops killed seven terrorists, detained two others, and destroyed many of their camps in Zamfara State's Zurmi Local Government Area on Saturday.
Maj.-Gen. Musa Danmadami, Director, Defence Media Operations, announced this in an Abuja statement on Sunday.
Danmadami stated that the military accomplished the accomplishment during a skirmish with bandits at Birnin Tsaba, Tsanu, Lamba, Gabas, Gidan Kaso, and Dumburum Forest in the state's Zurmi Local Government Area.
According to him, the military found seven motorcycles, two empty AK-47 magazines, and one Baofeng radio.
Following the arrest of a terrorist informant on April 21, troops conducted a follow-up operation and captured two more terrorists in Shinkafi town, Shinkafi Local Government Area, he said.
"Items recovered from the suspects include one motorcycle and three mobile phones.
"The military high command commends troops of Operation HADARIN DAJI and encourages the general public to avail troops with credible and timely information on criminal activities," he said.
