EPL/FA CUP: TEN HAG UNEARTHS A WONDERFUL NEW DEFENSE PARTNERSHIP FOR MANCHESTER UNITED

Erik Ten Hag, the manager of Manchester United, appears no to have identified a new defensive pairing at the club.

In the FA Cup semi-final triumph over Brighton on Sunday, the Dutchman teamed Victor Lindelof and Luke Shaw in the heart of United's defense.

After the game, the Dutchman praised the new defensive pairing for helping Manchester United reach the FA Cup final.

Regular starters for ten Hag, like as Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varane, have all been ruled out for the remainder of the season.

The club captain, Harry Maguire, was not included for Sunday's trip to Wembley due to a suspension.

Ten Hag chose to bring Shaw inside to partner Lindelof, a natural left-back.

At the back, the two showed promise as a new tandem.

"I thought Victor and Luke Shaw played brilliantly. They had great co- operation with Casemiro," Ten Hag told BBC.
