SHEHU SANI EXPLAINS WHY ELECTORAL TRIBUNAL MEETINGS SHOULD BE BROADCAST LIVE

As Nigerians await the hearing of the many petitions submitted before the election tribunals, Shehu Sani, a former Nigerian senator, has asked for the court proceedings to be broadcast live.

With the end of the 2023 general elections, Nigerians are now awaiting the tribunal's ruling, which they hope will fairly address their discontent with the election results.

Remember that the presidential candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP), are all in court challenging the All Progressives Congress (APC) victory of Bola Tinubu.

In addition, some governorship candidates who were defeated in the March 18 election are seeking redress in court.

In a tweet on Tuesday, Shehu Sani stated that live streaming of the tribunal sessions would allow the public to observe how transparent the process is.

"Live broadcast of Election Tribunal Court session will avail the public the opportunity to transparently view the SANS on duty and how Daniel will come to Judgment," he submitted.
