Frank Lampard, the recently named interim manager of Chelsea, claimed he did not know Graham Potter "that well."

Although Lampard does not know Potter, the former manager of Brighton, everything Potter did at Stamford Bridge demonstrated that he had the best of intentions.

The former midfielder claimed that Potter was fired because things did not work out for him at Stamford Bridge.

Thomas Tuchel, who was suddenly fired by the Blues' owners in September 2022, was replaced by Graham Potter, who was hired.

The Englishman was fired after only six months at Stamford Bridge due to a string of dismal performances that saw the west London team drop to the opposite half of the table.

Lampard will lead Chelsea through the rest of the season as they look for a long-term head coach.
