EPL: LAMPARD ADMITS HIS VIEW on THE MASON MOUNT CONTRACT

Frank Lampard, Chelsea's interim manager, has confirmed that he has no involvement in contract negotiations between the club and midfielder Mason Mount.

Mount's future at the west London club is becoming increasingly uncertain, with his contract set to expire at the conclusion of next season.

Lampard stated his stance on the contract controversy ahead of Chelsea's Premier League match against Brentford on Wednesday evening.

When asked if the standoff between Chelsea and Mount has been resolved, Lampard told reporters at his pre-match press conference: "Yes, but at this point, it is not my opinion that will be the resolution.

"It will be the opinion of the club and the opinion of Mason, so that is between them. I think my opinion's pretty clear, I don't need to spell out what I think of Mason as a player, but he is not my one to get into, that is between them."
