EPL: KOMPANY JOINS CHELSEA AS A SURPRISE REPLACEMENT FOR LAMPARD

Vincent Kompany, the manager of Burnley, is one of four candidates to become the future manager of Chelsea.

The Blues' options have been reduced to Julian Nagelsmann, Mauricio Pochettino, Kompany, and one more contender.

The fourth candidate's identity has not yet been released, according to Sky Sports, but he is revered by Chelsea.

Meetings with a few prospects are ongoing, and there is currently no favorite.

In his debut season at Turf Moor, Kompany led Burnley to automatic promotion from the Championship by playing an appealing style of game.

Following Graham Potter's dismissal, Frank Lampard is currently in caretaker control until the end of the season
