The Chelsea squad has reacted to the possibility of Mauricio Pochettino joining them at Stamford Bridge.

Following Julian Nagelsmann's withdrawal from the competition to become manager at Stamford Bridge, and Luis Enrique's tumble down the pecking order following conversations with Chelsea's leadership this month, Pochettino is now the obvious favourite to take the position.

According to the Telegraph, the squad is 'happy and thrilled' about the arrival of the former Tottenham Hotspur manager at Stamford Bridge.

Tottenham players are alleged to have praised the Argentine's coaching abilities and man-management tactics to Chelsea players.

The Blues' recruitment staff initially had doubts due to the former PSG manager's prior links to Tottenham, but these have'significantly decreased' following productive talks.
